Quick Updates on everything

Like I promises I have pictures of everything I've made and bought for the cosplays. Just small things though, such as Pabu's ears and Korra's belt. So here's what I got. First the belt!

This was pretty simple to make. Just cut out the shape of it on a single piece of brown fabric of your choice, I used a fabric I found along side some Native American fabrics. It was soft and some what thick but not heavy and seems to breath pretty well. Then you just cut out the trimming out of fake fur and so it on. I made the fur twice the size I needed so I could fold it over the bottom so no one could see a seam. Lastly you get some ribbon that is long enough to tie around your waist and hang down a little and so it into the hem on the waist.

Here's the shoe. Its not done. The dark brown fabric is just pinned on and the fur is just set there. I need to get fabric glue for them. I found the shoe itself at Good Will. Much better than trying to make it or buying it new.

Korra's armband and hair slips. I bought these at a shop on Etsy called Neatknits. The girl who owns it was really nice and didn't mind the rush order of a weeks notice, which was nice. (Yes I rushed it because time gets mixed up in my head and I thought it was already the end of July when I ordered. Forgot my birthday hadn't passed yet) Anyways, these are great and made sturdy.

Pabu's ears. Nothing special, just something I found on ebay for pretty cheap (since I started running out of money at this point.) They are cute and just clip into the hair, which makes it easy to put on and take off. They are also super soft!

So this is my Korra wig. No that isn't me. It's a boy.... My boyfriend. Ah what he does for love. For his pride he made me blot out his face though his face won't be blotted out in pictures where he isn't in a wig. To tell the truth this wig wasn't what I expected from the description or pictures. It's hard to work with and the knitting underneath is easily seen when I tried to make a neat pony tail. After about an hour of messing with it could I even get this far. And as you can tell the hair slips aren't even in yet.

Mako's scarf. I got this at Good Will as well and it only need one thing changed. It's connected at the ends so I'm going to cut it closer to date and let it fray to show some sort of aging. I love this thing! In fact this was the first time I let roger wear it and it's for his cosplay!

Anyways, that's it for now. Hope you guys enjoyed the update and I will be trying to update within the week. Hopefully with Mako and Korra's tops and maybe even WIP of the full cosplay like what I did for Bolin. Also hopefully Bolin's will be finished and a real photoshoot will be posted this week. Keep an eye out and happy cosplaying!

P.S. If you have any pictures of yourself cosplaying or others that you think deserve a spotlight let me know and I'll be happy to post them. I plan on making a Cosplay spotlight page soon.

Bolin's Heart break

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Work kept me too busy to work on the cosplays. But I have gotten a lot done since the last time. Like Bo's outfit is almost completely done. Korra's belt only needs to be stitced around the waist and her top needs to be edited some. Mako's top is almost fully cut out and we have all the fabrics for all four cosplays Including Pabu's!

So here's Bolin's. Some of the details are pinned in this picture, but since it was taken I have fixed that. All that's left is adding the collar and making the socks. He also has to buy the wig and loafers. But because both me and the model were excited we had a little photo shoot anyways.

Just a few shots from when Bo saw Korra and Mako kiss. We decided that the flowers added something and that it gave us more than just a few poses to do at the convention. Also I don't know if I mentioned this but we will be at AFO this year. We are really excited to go and encourage anyone else who is going to look for us and say hi. It makes us think we did good on the cosplays. It also is half the fun of the con.

On a side note from the LoK cosplays and AFO: If any of you have ideas of cosplays you'd like to see us make and model let us know. I have a large group of friends that I force ask to model so almost any body type is in our reach to pull off the best cosplay we can. It also gives me ideas for what we will do for future cons.

Well that's it for today. I plan on having more pictures of Korra's stuff and Mako's WIP tomorrow so keep an eye out! Bye
